// Mario's Hollywood House

Mario Testino's Hollywood Hills home is featured in the March edition of Vogue. Having shot it himself, it features the very beautiful Natalia Vodianova and is a great insight into his life and travels. His extensive personal art collection is elegantly exhibited very simply on crisp white walls. I love all the Peruvian textiles and eclectic touches, the mix of which create an almost seventies feel. He had no help in the design process and what you see is all down to his own personal eclectic styling. A great insight into a very talented man.

// Everyone Meet Charlie

It's about time I introduced you all to Charlie my housemate's dog. He's happiest with a ball in his mouth and makes our house a fun place to live.

Sometimes a successful interior isn't always about what you put in it, it's simply about who you put in it.

// It shouldn't really work...

but it does.

There are some interiors that I come across, that in theory, shouldn't really appeal. Yet sometimes I find myself drawn to cluttered, clashing and slightly chaotic interior schemes.

Place me in front of a table full of pictures of well coordinated and tonal interiors that are neat and precise and whilst I can appreciate them, I'd never want to live in one. Considering what I do and who I do it for, I'm sure the more suited and booted interiors should appeal more, but yet as if by some form of rebellion I find myself craving interior chaos, albeit stylish chaos. Clashing colours, a spot of pattern, books, drawings on the wall, quirky accessories and artwork, upon artwork, upon more artwork.

The Selby is my visual fix for this kind of interior. Each week I love seeing who's apartment is going to feature next. For me these are real houses with real personality.

// Moustache Mugs

I love these Peter Ibruegger moustache mugs. Made in Stoke on Trent by skilled craftsmen they are made from the finest bone china, are dishwasher safe and are the perfect size for my morning cup of coffee.

// Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines Day everyone. I hope you have a lovely day whatever you are up to. I've got a big smile on my face this morning after I got given a pair of these Skullcandy aviator headphones from a not so secret admirer.

Best Valentines Day present ever, thanks Ben x

// Grill'd, Melbourne

I was sent this image late last night by a graphic designer friend Cat, from IAMCAT. She needed help sourcing lighting similar to the one in the top picture and happy to help, I went on a sourcing frenzy to see what I could do for her. Fifteen minutes and a few web links later I'm hoping I pointed her in the right direction.

Designed by Australian based design studio Fabio Ongarato, Grill'd promise healthy burgers, a healthy mind and by the looks of it a pretty cool interior in which to munch away. I'm loving the reclaimed lighting, vertically laid metro tiles and fab illustrations that adorn the walls and ceiling.

// Mid Week Inspiration

I was in the midst of a creative block this afternoon whilst designing a guest bathroom and on my quest for inspiration stumbled up on this house in Madrid by Spanish duo, fashion designer David Delfin and photographer Gorka Postigo. Not only did I get inspired by their bathroom, I loved their whole apartment so much that I decided to share it with you all.

Enjoy...

// No Money, No Problem

I first saw these pictures last May at Elle Interior Sweden This apartment goes to show that you don't always need a lot of money to make an interior look great. Sometimes all it takes is a little creativity and in this case, a roll of gaffer tape and a staple gun.
