// Suck it and Sea

Loving the latest art addition to our home by UK collage artist Maria Rivans. We discovered 'Suck it and Sea' through the Liberty Gallery who were displaying at The London Art Fair last week and were drawn to its bright colours, humour and almost sci fi quality. 

Maria was inspired by philosophical teachings, vintage hollywood films, Hitchcock and the sci fi films she watched when she was a child. Her work starts life as an a old postcard, film poster or other form of vintage ephemera and is reinvented into a weird and wonderful image through the use of collage. Each collage is original and gives a unique glimpse into a surreal and exciting universe.
